Independence Day & Night

I had visions of shooting fireworks photos this evening, but Mother Nature had other ideas: Instead of dazzling, colorful displays and sonic booms, spectators were greeted by lightning and thunder and rain (oh, my).

This was the best I could do, through my windshield, before the fireworks display was officially called for tonight. (Supposedly, they’ll be shooting them off tomorrow night.)

Earlier today, the sun was shining.
