- Not having to get up at 6 a.m. on a Sunday.
- Sunshine!
- Eating hard-boiled eggs and toast for brunch.
- Running across one of my favorite movies, The Fisher King, on AMC.
- Realizing, as the film is nearing its end, that Cubs AND Cardinals games are starting.
- Getting (almost) all my laundry done in less than 4 hours.
- Discovering a pair of long-forgotten cargo pants in the bottom drawer of one of my dressers. (I’d crammed them there who-knows-when, thinking they didn’t fit … and they DO! Perfectly!)
- Wearing elephant footies.
- Noting the date — April 15 — and being glad I did my taxes MONTHS ago.
- Receiving good news about Tee-Hee and Pastor Ellsworth, and knowing that the collective happy thoughts/warm feelings do make a difference … sometimes in imperceptible ways.
